Our skin always gives away our age. The older we get, the more our skin will look loose, tired, wrinkled and lifeless. These phenomena are explained as changes occurring at the sub skin layer, which is in fact the scaffolding net of the skin. It becomes thin and loose and as a result of the natural ageing process – the skin droops.
Luckily for us, advanced technology suggests a solution for this problem as well, and the sooner we treat this issue, the sooner we will look good at present and young for our age in the future.
A new treatment – tightening
Recently, a new technology was developed with the objective of firming and tightening the skin, as well improving its texture.
The device employs a unique technique of radio waves (RF) which are emitted into the depth of the skin from three poles (in comparison with the devices from the previous generation) – this allows limiting of the beam’s radiation area to a defined zone, not touching undesired areas.
The device is approved by the Ministry of Health and the CE, and was in trial by Dr. Monica Elman, who, together with its manufacturer, has brought forth a new concept in treating wrinkles and aging skin.
Tightening of the skin, how does it work?
Radio waves emission causes heating of the sub skin tissue, which causes tightening of the existing collagen fibers and improvement of the blood flow and the metabolism. This building of the sub skin layer creates a stronger scaffolding layer for the skin, and the result is obvious – a tight skin, smooth and firm appearance, sparkling with gleam and vitality.
Who would benefit from a skin tightening treatment?
It is targeted for men and women alike, who suffer from loose and wrinkled skin, fine lines and bumps.
Whom is this treatment not suitable for?
Patients who have had a pacemaker implanted, patients who had been in an accident or a surgical treatment with severe scarring, and those who have platinum or other metal implants.
Tightening of the skin – treatment areas
Suitable for treatment in all areas of the body, including problematic areas such as the face, loose abdominal skin, loose skin on the arms, buttocks and thighs.
For those who suffer from cellulitis – the treatment assists in improving the condition of cellulitis and shrinking it.
The specifics of the treatment
* The treatment is comprised of an initial series of ten sessions
* It is important to keep the sequence of treatments
* Each treatment is 30 minutes to 1 hour long (according to the size of the treated area)
* Immediate return to your routine
* To preserve your results – it is recommended to undergo preservation treatments once every few weeks / months (as recommended by the staff).
Possible adverse side effects
No adverse side effects have been observed up to date in treatments using this system. However, a heating of the skin and the sub skin may cause one or more of the following:
* Local pain in the treated area
* Local redness
* Mild local swelling
* Scalding of the skin
* Local itching
* A first degree burn (rarely – a higher degree burn)
* Changes in pigmentation (usually disappearing within a few months)
* Local inflammation of the skin (rare)
* Local scarring (rare)
